The Sword Trial Assembly takes place several days before Spirit Well Tree starts to shed Wine Nectar. The Drifting Cloud Sect, Hundred Possibilities Sect and the Ancient Sword Sect use this competition to decide who receives half of the shedded Wine Nectar, leaving the remaining half to be split between the two other sects.
Only cultivators less than 30 years old can participate. Winners get rewarded with top grade magic tools or a Spirit Tempering Pill. This assembly has almost always been dominated by the Ancient Sword Sect.
In the Donghua, when Han Li was attending the Sword Trial Assembly, it happened to be led by the Hundred Possibilities Sect this time and they wanted to “spice things up” by changing the rules. It was no longer just a straight forward cultivation arts competition.
The matchups are randomly assigned from the attending cultivators from the three participating sects (Drifting Cloud, Hundred Possibilities and Ancient Sword) and then on the platform, there will be goals at the end of each side. While the match is going on, participants also need to snatch the ball and throw it into the goal on the opposite side.
If anyone kills anyone during the competition, they are disqualified and if they destroy the platform or any devices near the platform, they are also disqualified.
