Fairy Ice Soul (冰魄仙子 - Bing Po Xian Zi) is unique because unlike other historical figures, she is actually alive and eventually meets Han Li directly. She bridges the gap between the worlds, transitioning from a legendary ancient ancestor in the Lower Realm to a pinnacle powerhouse in the Upper Realm.
Appearance
She was a yellow robed woman, identical to the Blood Soul.
[Blood Soul] A peerlessly beautiful woman. Her long slender legs and smooth lower abdomen were all extremely alluring to the male cultivators present. Her pristine fair skin and flawless features made her appear as if she were a perfect work of art. ----Part 1: The Lower Realm Legend (The Mortal Realm)
In the human world, Fairy Ice Soul is remembered as a supreme historical figure from the northern icy plains and the Scattered Star Seas.
- Life Story: Thousands of years before Han Li’s era, she was the incredibly powerful founding Matriarch of the North Night Palace (or Small Extreme Palace) and the ancestor of the Xu Family. Seeking to ascend, she left behind her core lineage, her profound ice techniques, and built the legendary Heaven Void Hall (虚天殿)—a massive, treasure-filled trial ground designed so that only her bloodline descendants using her signature icy flames could easily bypass its deadly inner mechanisms to claim her hidden inheritances.
- Powers (Lower Realm): She mastered the chilling, absolute-zero laws of ice. Her most terrifying power was the Dry Blue Ice Flame (干蓝冰焰) and the Celestial Ice Flames, which she used to freeze the massive Ice Depth Mountains for over a century to suppress the local demon beasts. She also possessed the replication blueprints and engineered the Heaven-Void Cauldron (虚天鼎), a top-tier replica Spirit Treasure. [1, 2, 3, 4]
- Enemies (Lower Realm): Her primary enemies were the Ice Phoenix Clan. To expand her sect’s territory and fuel her ice-flame techniques, she wantonly captured high-grade Ice Phoenixes. This sparked an eternal, multi-millennial blood feud. The Tier-10 Ice Phoenix leader,Bing Feng aka Ice Phoenix Feng, fiercely hated Fairy Ice Soul’s descendants and dedicated her life to trying to completely exterminate the North Night Palace to avenge her ancestors. [1, 3]
----Part 2: The Upper Realm Powerhouse (The Spirit Realm)
When Han Li finally ascends to the Spirit Realm, the mystery of Fairy Ice Soul is fully unraveled. It turns out she successfully ascended to the Upper Realm long ago. [1, 2, 3]
- Life Story (The Split Soul Plot): Upon reaching the Spirit Realm, Ice Soul became a core powerhouse of the human race. However, while exploring a dangerous restricted zone, her main body became trapped. To ensure her survival and continue her cultivation, she performed a desperate, forbidden soul-splitting technique, creating a clone named the Blood Soul (血魄). This clone eventually became entangled with the Upper Realm’s human faction and met Han Li during the massive Deep Heaven City arc. []
- Powers (Upper Realm): Free from the energy limitations of the lower mortal worlds, her ice cultivation evolved to cosmic levels. By the time Han Li crosses paths with her true body in the later stages of the novel, she has successfully broken through to the Grand Ascension Stage (大乘期)—the absolute peak of power achievable in the Spirit Realm. Her manipulation of spatial ice barriers and true spirit phoenix flames puts her on equal footing with the grand elders of all alien races. [1, 3]
- Enemies (Upper Realm): In the Upper Realm, her conflicts shift from petty local blood feuds to inter-species warfare. She fights against high-tier Elder Devils and powerful Alien Race Grand Ascensions who threaten the survival of the human-demon alliance territory.
----Legacy and Connection to Han Li
Fairy Ice Soul inadvertently acts as a major benefactor throughout Han Li’s entire life journey: [1]
- The Loot: Han Li loots her Heavenvoid Hall in the Scattered Star Seas, stealing her replica Heavenvoid Cauldron, her dry blue ice flames, and her hidden treasures.
- The Foe-Turned-Friend: Because Han Li refines her ice flames, the Ice Phoenix leader Bing Feng hunts him. This conflict unexpectedly forces Han Li and Bing Feng to work together to survive an unstable teleportation array, causing Bing Feng to eventually join Han Li’s faction in the Upper Realm.
- The Repercussion-Free Meeting: When Han Li finally meets the true Fairy Ice Soul in the Spirit Realm, she is a stunning, yellow-robed Grand Ascension beauty. Instead of being angry that Han Li stole her lower-realm treasures, she treats him as an equal and a vital ally, grateful that her lineage’s legacy helped birth such a monstrous cultivator.
