Wondrous bugs are exotic insects with extremely unique abilities that cultivators covet. These insects are primarily used in battle but their unique abilities can help cultivators refine otherworldly techniques as well as help them perform extremely difficult task such as obtaining treasures with heavy restrictions.
A Controlling Spirit Sect cultivator, who was a bug fanatic, sourced and analyzed ancient records and arranged these exotic insects on a list. His work is preserved in the jadeslip called Strange Insects of the World. As for how reliable the front end rankings were for the exotic insects, only the Heavens know.
It is widely believed that almost all of the thirty top ranked exotic insects from this list are extinct from the cultivation world.
