The Profound Soul Yin Flame is a rare Yin-type true spirit flame that manifests within the Mortal Realm. Unlike common elemental fires, this flame carries spiritual essence and embodies extreme Yin attributes—coldness, stillness, and inward refinement. Because of its Yin nature, it is favoured by ghost-dao, devil-flame and other paths that lean into decay, death, or Yin energy.
In the Heavenvoid Hall the Bone sage used his Soul Yin Flame combined with the Heavenvoid Cauldron surrounding Celestial Ice Flame and Divine Devilbane Lightning (Which he forcibly got from han li) to create the Sacred Asura Flames.
Abilities & Effects
- As a true spirit flame, the Profound Soul Yin Flame possesses a will or consciousness of its own and thus must be restrained and refined by a skilled cultivator.
- Its Yin nature allows it to oppose or absorb Yang-based energies, and its inherent coldness can suppress or freeze spiritual qì or other flame sources.
- It serves as a major component or precursor for more advanced devil-flames; for example, it is listed as one of the foundational flame-sources from which the Sacred Asura Flames can be refined.
Refinement & Usage
To properly refine and master the Profound Soul Yin Flame, a cultivator must first obtain a source of the flame, confine it within a suitable vessel or formation, and then gradually merge it with their soul-foundation, aligning their internal Yin essence to the fire’s nature. Because of its extreme Yin properties, any misalignment—excess Yang within the cultivator, an over-aggressive handling of the flame—can result in backlash or the flame devouring the user’s soul.
