The He Lian Trade Guild was one of the great hidden powers in the Spirit Realm whose network covered the three main continents, and its influence was said to be comparable to super races like the Jiao Chi Race. The Guild had extensive access to scarce resources, important information, as well as various high-level trade facilities, including intercontinental teleportation formations that were very rare for other parties.[2313]
One of the most important functions of this guild is providing intercontinental travel through special teleportation formations. However, access to this facility is very limited and is not generally open. Instead, the He Lian Trade Guild periodically held intercontinental teleportation slot auctions, which only appeared every few decades to hundreds of years, thus attracting many powerful cultivators of various races.
To be able to take part in such auctions, a cultivator usually needed a certain recommendation or status, except for those who had reached the Body Integration Stage level or higher, who could enter unconditionally. Because of this, this auction is often a meeting place for strong figures from various regions.
Background
Behind its identity as a trading organization, the He Lian Trade Guild had much more ancient origins. The founders were direct descendants of True Immortals left behind in the Spirit Realm. In the beginning, this organization was not a trading guild, but rather a secret investigation organization founded by the True Immortal Realm to supervise and handle various affairs in the Spirit Realm. Therefore, the core members in the early days were almost entirely direct descendants of the True Immortals.[2343]
This legacy means that the He Lian Trade Guild has several immortal secret techniques that are rarely known to the outside world. The existence of these techniques is not an absolute secret, but few people know the true origins of the legacy.
After a spatial storm broke the connection between the various realms and the True Immortal Realm, the organization lost support from above. To maintain its existence, the organization’s successors began recruiting strong cultivators from outside, and gradually turned into the He Lian Trade Guild known in the current era.
Despite operating as a trade guild, the organization still retains some of its old duties. Apart from carrying out transcontinental trading activities, they were also secretly responsible for maintaining the stability and security of the Spirit Realm from various major threats. One example was when they sent several Grand Ascension cultivators to the Elder Devil Realm to participate in the attempt to kill the Stemborer Queen.
