Summary
Mei Ning struggles with worry over her missing brother, while Han continues preparing for their escape from the Dark Underworld Place. A mysterious villager tries to warn Mei of hidden dangers in the village, hinting that something sinister is being kept from them. Han later confirms the village’s dark secret: survivors have been sacrificing cultivators to create Beast Crystals, maintaining their defenses at a deadly cost. Mei reveals her unique Transient Jade Phoenix Marrow Constitution, enabling her to transfer temporary spiritual power to Han through a breath-based technique, allowing him to partially restore his cultivation. With limited power back, Han prepares weapons using Sinking Water to enhance their effectiveness against Dark Beasts. Meanwhile, Elder Zhou and another village leader argue over whether to kill or spare the newcomers. The elder ultimately reveals his intent to sacrifice Han and Mei for the village’s benefit. As Han and Mei attempt to leave, the confrontation escalates, making it clear that escape will not be so easy—and that the village has far more blood on its hands than it seems.
