Cai Liuying

Cai Liuying is an Early Holy-Race (Body Integration) stage Crystal Race being residing on the Thunder Continent within the Spirit Realm. She is an elder of the Heavenly Cloud Races and is considered a rising prodigy amongst the elders of the Heavenly Cloud Races. She possesses an Essencefused Body allowing her to harness and manipulate the power of the Divine Essencefused Light.

Background

As a prodigy, Cai Liuying was given the opportunity to enter the Vast Glacial Realm when she was a Upper-Tier (Spatial Tempering) stage being. In the realm, she learned of the existence of Spiritvoid Pills which are useful for Holy-Race stage cultivators. She learned the pills would assist her ascend her Heavenly Tribulations. Unfortunately, she did not possess the power or strength to break through the restrictions to obtain the pill before her time within the realm ran out.

Sometime later, Cai Liuying managed to ascend to the Holy-Race stage. As a result, she was unable to reenter the Vast Glacial Realm to obtain the pills. She was forced to partner with Duan Tianren to concoct a plan to obtain disciples with Essencefused Bodies who could enter the realm and break through the restrictions to obtain the pills. To enact her plan, she took on a disciple outside of her Crystal Race named Liu Shui.

First Meeting

Both, Cai Liuying and her ally Duan Tianren each managed to find a disciple that had the ability to manipulate Divine Essencefused Light. They required a 3rd individual in order to successfully break the restrictions that sealed the pills. Luckily, her ally coincidentally encountered such a being during an auction within the Cloud City. Her ally coerced this being to meet Cai Liuying. This being was Han Li who, as a 7th-Tier Upper Race being, met the basic qualifications to enter the Vast Glacial Realm.

Cai Liuying was able to confirm that Han Li possessed an Essencefused Body. Together with her ally, she convinced Han Li to undertake a dangerous mission to obtain the pills in exchange for her support as an elder in enabling him to use the Super Teleportation formation so that he could return to his home on the Tian Yuan Continent.

Opening the Vast Glacial Realm

Years later, prior to the opening of the Vast Glacial Realm, Cai Liuying discreetly took her disciple to meet Han Li and inform him that the realm was soon to be open. In order to improve the chances of obtaining a pill, she shared her past experiences and information about the realm with Han Li. In secret, she arranged her disciple to be assigned to the same team as Han Li. Months later, she attended the ceremony to open the realm where she saw her disciple and Han Li enter the realm.

Jiao Chi Invasion

Years later, the Jiao Chi launched an offensive on the Heavenly Cloud Races. The Jiao Chi lured the Heavenly Cloud Races to into a trap which left the Cloud City with limited defenses. As a result, a massive assault was launched on the city. In order to delay loss of the city, Cai Liuying was reassigned outside of the city. This tricked the Jiao Chi into holding back their Holy-Race stage beings from participating in the fight. This tactic allowed enough time for the prodigies sent to the Vast Glacial Realm to return.

Cai Liuying’s disciple returned from the realm and managed to successfully obtain a single Spiritvoid Pill. She learned many things about Han Li from her disciple. She learned that Han Li possessed combat abilities that rivaled to Holy-Race stage beings. She also learned that he obtained precious medicinal resources from the realm. Furthermore, an instruction from a Grand Ascension grand-elder of the Heavenly Cloud Races also hinted that Han Li had unknown ties with her seniors.

Together with Duan Tianren and Qian Jizi, she met with Han Li and traded valuable resources for the Spiritual Medicines that Han Li obtained from the realm. After the trade concluded, Qian Jizi suspected Han Li did not bring out all the medicines to trade. Overcome with greed, Qian Jizi tried to solicit the assistance from her to force Han Li to hand over the rest of the medicines. She thought it was unwise to confront Han Li given both his strength, his relationship with her seniors and the fact that Han Li had been key to obtaining a Spiritvoid pill. She dissuaded her comrade.
